Victoria Group reports decline in revenue
For the second year in a row, UK-based Victoria Group – which includes rug manufacturers Balta Home and Ragolle – has reported declining revenues. In the 2024/25 financial year, earnings fell by 9.1% to GBP 1.12 billion (EUR 1.29 billion). The group experienced significant losses particularly in the UK and Europe.

Medipa invests EUR 50 million in logistics campus
Carpet supplier Medipa has launched the Medipa Eco Campus – a EUR 50 million project to strengthen its European logistics infrastructure. On a 75,000 sqm site in Alfter near Bonn, the company is building a sustainable, fully automated facility with 40,000 sqm of logistics space as well as modern office, showroom and R&D areas.

John Feizy has passed away
John Feizy, founder of Feizy Rugs (Dallas, USA) and a key figure in the international rug industry, passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 83. He founded his company in 1973 and over more than five decades built it into one of the leading suppliers of handmade and machine-made rugs in the United States.

Komfort moves into new logistics center in Poland
Polish home furnishing retailer Komfort has leased over 30,000 sqm of warehouse and office space at the Hillwood Łowicz Południe logistics park. Conveniently located on the A2 motorway and certified to BREEAM standards, the site will serve as a central distribution hub in Poland.

Dr Andreas Hoerning to remain CEO of Westwing
The Supervisory Board of Westwing Group SE has extended Dr Andreas Hoerning’s term as Chief Executive Officer until the end of 2028. His new three-year term will begin on 1 January 2026. Hoerning has led the interior and home & living e-commerce company since July 2022.

India Carpet Expo returns to October schedule
The 49th India Carpet Expo has been given a new date and will now take place from 11 to 14 October 2025 at the Carpet Expo Mart in Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh). Organiser CEPC is responding to feedback from international buyers and returning to the well-established October slot.

Home textiles show strongest growth in German e-commerce
Following a downturn between 2022 and early 2024, German e-commerce has seen rising sales for five consecutive quarters since April 2024. According to industry association BEVH, online revenues in the first half of 2025 totalled EUR 39.84 billion – an increase of 3.5% compared to the same period last year.
